Information

Six new domestic pelagic fishing vessels have officially set sail in the new West Coast area to go for ocean fishing operations in the waters of Mauritius. These tuna purse seine fishing vessels, which were independently designed and built by Qingdao Luhaifeng group with a total investment of 300 million Yuan, are the first batch of tuna fishing vessels designed with European purse seine design in China, and also the most technologically advanced vessels among the same type of offshore fishing vessels in China. They have refreshed the construction height of Qingdao ocean fishing vessels and broken the current situation that Qingdao's offshore fishing industry has no operation in the Indian Ocean. Qingdao, even Shandong Province, will add new momentum to the One belt, one road strategy.

These six fishing vessels have undergone repeated verification of type selection, design, modification and finalization, and installed the most advanced fishing and refrigeration equipment in Norway and Japan. They are the first batch of tuna fishing vessels with European Seine design in China. The annual catch of a single vessel can reach 7,000 tons and the annual output value of a single ship can reach more than 30 million Yuan.

Qingdao Luhaifeng Foods Co., Ltd. has signed a framework agreement for strategic cooperation with China Overseas Holding Group Co., Ltd. and Qingdao rural commercial bank. The three parties will jointly build China International Aquatic products trading center and cold chain logistics base and other projects, so as to build the whole ocean fishery industry chain.

With the six pelagic fishing vessels’ successful launch and the smooth progress of the project—
The North China (Qingdao) International Aquatic Products Trading Center and Cold Chain Logistics Base ,a complete fishery industry chain covering ocean fishing services, cold chain logistics, aquatic products auction, processing and distribution, information integration and other links are accelerating the formation in Qingdao West Coast New Area: building a 10,000 tons grade fishing vessel wharf, 3 million tons of frozen and refrigerated aquatic products, 3-6 million tons trading volume and an annual trading volume of 66 billion to 120 billion Yuan, to become a new engine of marine fishery economy in Shandong Peninsula or even in the whole country.
